In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel asked Ernest Beaux to develop a “womans perfume, with a womans scent.” Mademoiselle chose the fifth sample and decided to name it simply N°5. In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted his predecessors work to imagine a fuller version of the now and forever fragrance: the Eau de Parfum. N°5 Eau de Parfum draws inspiration from the Parfum, which shares the same floral-aldehydic signature. This bouquet, composed around rose and jasmine, features bright citrus top notes. Aldehydes create a unique presence, while the smooth touch of vanilla yields an incredibly sensual trail.
